It would be interesting for students to develop a game that teaches learning skills or a game that teaches social skills. I am not sure how I would cope with all the variables. I think the design process alone would get students thinking about the learning skills.

We could use the Core Skills Framework (for senior students 7-12) and have the skills contextualised within a game environment – maybe a role playing game. The character might be terrible at organisation and have no skills and they might be failing. The aim of the game might be for them to develop skills (through a series of challenges) in order to 'pass' and complete the game successfully.
