Task 4: Data in Games
We're improving our implementation of group based activities in Dig Tech (and other subjects) and are developing techniques to monitor each team members levels of active engagement and contribution to the group. Currently its a combination of our observations and daily journal entries each team member makes which is very time consuming to read and collate – and possibly not sustainable. It would be interesting to also have each team member grade their team members in the peer assessment on each of the criteria and for students to be presented with different badges/avatars based on those assessments.

Clearly a number of issues around that BUT it would be an interesting gamification of each team member's contribution to the team.

The solution though would also allow the teacher to be able to quickly scan and identify students who are seen by their peers as not contributing appropriately.
