Stuart Duvall▸ Task 1 – Finding Objects!
Incandescent light globe
Objects:
Filaments
Glass
Copper Wire
How do they work together as an incandescent globe:
Electrons move along the copper wires. As the electrons meet the filament they experience a greater resistance to the flow. The resistance causes heat through friction. The heat is released from the filament in the form of light and heat energy. The class case holds an inert glass to preserve the filament and prevent unwanted fires.
