I think I really good idea would be an app for school attendance. Parents, teachers and students would be able to access a system that records attendance, as well as tracks attendance and reasons for coming late or missing a day. There could be a communication function as well that sends an email to parents asking why a student missed a day.

It could also be useful if there is more than one campus at a school. Students could sign out at one campus and use something like RFID to sign back in at another site.

Obviously there are issues with this, like students misplacing their RFID tag, or taking another students’ tag to sign them in, but it would be an issue for an individual site to explore.
