Since the pandemic many people have begun working from home instead of commuting to an office. This may create an easy option for cyber attacks as someone’s personal laptop may not be as secure as a computer hooked up to a business network.

However, I believe that the future of cyber attacks will be far more wide reaching and far more disruptive to our lives. Attacks on infrastructure that we rely on, such as hospitals, transport systems and educational facilities are already occurring and are more likely to continue occurring in the future.

Attacks on governments have already occurred and will also likely continue to occur. Incredibly sensitive information like details about military operations could be accessed and used against them.

The use of malware as well as hackers being able to bypass existing security features would result in these types of attacks.
